How to Prepare

I began posting 6 years ago about the need to "Prepare" for difficult times ahead. Those times are here. Jesus referred to these times as "the beginning of sorrows." I don't feel that I am an alarmist but a realist. I am one who "sees" the present and also the days ahead. Biden said that this will be a dark winter and Trump said our best days are still ahead. I see both happening simultaneously. Faith says that darkness does not have the ability to suppress or to hold the light under its domain. Even in the midst of a dark winter the light of God overtakes the darkness. It is the beginning of sorrows and the beginning of the great awakening!

I was criticized for saying we need to store emergency food but I have not allowed criticism to stop me from telling people to prepare. I also believe that God will provide. As the old gospel song said, "God will take care of you, Through everyday o'er all the way. He will take care of you, God will take care of you." Which way is right? I believe both ways are right.
Here is my basic list of ways to practically prepare:
1. Food & water
2. Basic essentials
3. Alternative source of power
4. Alternative source of communication
5. Alternative ways to cook
6. Protective weapon
7. Full tank of gas in your vehicles
8. Alternative source of money (silver coins, gold)
9. Prepare to plant a small garden
10. Way to collect rainwater & purification tablets
11. Alternative method of transportation (bicycle)
Prayer life, Bible reading & study, inspirational books, CDs, small worship gatherings with neighbors.

There is Something Happening Here

Bob Dylan has a song Ballad of a Thin Man and the chorus is "Because something is happening here but you don’t know what it is. Do you, Mister Jones?"

This secular prophet is saying something to those who have ears to hear, "Because something is happening here but you don't know what it is." Yes, there IS something happening here and it is always the darkest just before dawn. In Genesis 1:2-3 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light,' and there was light." Throughout the Earth, there is a feeling of emptiness and chaos. Nobody knows what is happening but they know something is happening. It seems out of control but even in this darkness, the Spirit of God is hovering.
On Christmas morning, just before dawn (6:30 am), an explosion shook Nashville and for many shook us from our stupor. This will prove to not be someone committing suicide but the beginning of a series of events that will shake America. Americans will be shocked to learn of deep dark secrets that have steadily dimmed the light of freedom for decades. Gross darkness has covered our land. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Isaiah 60:2. Notice the attack happened on Christmas morning! It was not an accident.
God has a destiny for America to fulfill and He is not finished with this nation but we are very close to His judgment. Read all of Isaiah 60 and you will see that God will have mercy. The Spirit is hovering over the darkness and the light is about to shine. He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the light. Job 12:22
There is a deep state of evil in our nation and it affects the entire world. The nation as God intended has been stolen. Jesus said, "The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy." It is as simple as good versus evil! Those who do evil have attempted to steal the liberty God gave to America in its creation. These are evil men and women manipulated by satan and his demonic powers. Satan comes to destroy that which is good. These men and women have no conscience. Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. 1 Timothy 4:1-2.
The blood of the innocent cries out for truth and justice. These traitors to America will be exposed and their power will come to an abrupt end. Their wealth will be nothing more than bags with holes. The perpetrators of sins against children will suffer the greatest judgment. There are leaders in America who have played significant roles in the child trafficking and drug industries. They will be exposed to the sick creatures they truly are. They sold their souls for money and power. Just before their exposure, many will fake their own death and commit suicide. Those who slandered the President will receive their just reward. Those who committed treason against America will be put to death. The blood of innocent veterans will be avenged.
Mr. Jones in Bob Dylan's song is every true American patriot. Our eyes are being opened to the truth and we know what is happening. Our eyes shall see the glory of the Lord in our land once again!

Remnant of Spiritual Patriots

"So also at the present time, there is a remnant, chosen by grace." Romans 11:5 Those of His people whom He had set aside for holy purposes, those He labels as “remnant.” This is a spiritual remnant.

A nation has a general population who enjoy all the benefits of being a citizen. A nation also has those who are patriots; persons who vigorously support their country and are prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors. Patriots are the remnant within a nation of citizens who are willing to die for the preservation of the country they love.

God also has a remnant of spiritual patriots within the nation who seek first the kingdom and are committed to protecting that liberty against all deceptive tactics of the enemy. Are you in the remnant of America?

When God Uses a Patriot

Former Senator and Attorney General Jeff Sessions is a true friend. His devotion and love for this country are genuine regardless of whatever you may think. You will soon see that this is true. Not only does God have His hand on Senator Sessions but he will soon play an important role in our nation once again. Below is a letter that he wrote to me and I want you to look closely at the underlined sentences (my edit). He called me a "strong patriot" and I fully believe that "it takes one to know one!" Do not take the term patriot lightly.

Violent Persons Taking the Kingdom of Heaven

This is not an alarmist post but a preparation post for those who trust my understanding of Scripture. I have been pondering the following Scripture verse for 50 years and never have been satisfied with how it has been taught and preached by the vast majority of preachers and churches.

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Matthew 11:12

Most translate this by saying that persons exhibiting strong, passionate, and violent faith take the kingdom of heaven. I have always had reservations in my spirit about this translation. I base this understanding on the words of Jesus in Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." God "gives" the kingdom and it is His delight and desire. God's flock (family, friends) does not have to violently and forcefully "take" it.

Who would Jesus be referring to in Matthew 11:12? I firmly believe it is violent and forceful persons. We read about the violent in the Earth in Psalms 2:1-3 "Why do the nations protest and the peoples conspire in vain? Kings on earth rise up and princes plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one: 'Let us break their shackles and cast off their chains from us!'”

We have witnessed a steady move away from God in our nation. It will only increase in the coming years. With this decline in godliness, evil continues to increase. The majority of Americans still believe this nation is "under God" but the majority is quickly eroding. We are witnessing the loss of love for our country, its flag, and its long-established values. We see the loss of respect for those in authority and for the sanctity of life. Those who are anti-law and order and advocate violent protests are taking the kingdom by force. The mainstream media is taking it by force. Many within our government and religious organizations are forcefully taking it. They are "taking it captive!" I will not be silent any longer.

I will be respectful of others who disagree with my opinions and beliefs. I will with the help of God attempt to walk in love. I love God and the kingdom of heaven first and foremost. Just below my love for God and the kingdom is my love for America. I was willing to die for it 50 years ago and I am again today. I will not quietly sit by and watch America be destroyed from within or from outside forces. It is not the responsibility of the government to feed the poor and destitute! It is the responsibility of the churches in every city and community. The Church can no longer abdicate or turn a blind eye to the truly needy of our society.

I see troubled and violence-filled days shortly ahead in our country. I also see shortages of daily necessities in the near future. I also see the beginning of a great spiritual awakening that will sweep across the land. God will not be mocked, muzzled, or ignored. We will be given a season of grace and mercy; one last chance to turn back to God.

Secrets of the Enemy Being Exposed

The schemes of the enemy against the purposes of God for America are now being exposed and will soon come to light. What has secretly been planned and set in motion is now being revealed.

There is a story in the book of 2 Kings 6 about Syria warring against Israel. Each time the Syrians would make a raid into Israel their plans were spoiled through the revelation given by God to the prophet Elisha. Elisha would inform the king of Israel who would then take precautions against their invasions. This naturally enraged the heart of the king of Aram (Syria) who first thought that he had an informer among his troops (vs. 11). He was then told of Elisha’s ability as a prophet of Israel to know of the king’s plans, even while he spoke of them in secret (vs. 12).

There is a war today in our country between evil and righteousness. It is plain to see what is happening. The secret strategies of those bent on evil have previously been top secret but now God is revealing these plans to his prophets. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. When the revelation is made public God will vindicate those who are standing for Biblical values and love for America.

We will witness soon the hand of God at work. It will cause a great awakening in the land. This awakening will touch the entire world and shake every nation.

The Spiritual Gist That Saved Our Democracy

Last night Dutch Sheets and other leaders led a national prayer service near the headwaters of the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania. This area has important spiritual significance in the history of America from the time of George Washington. “We determined that the Lord was putting great emphasis on this area pertaining to the elections and the future of our nation. We are believing that this live prayer gathering in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, near the headwaters of the Allegheny River, will shift America,” Dutch Sheets.

“Decades before he became the father of our county, George Washington was on a dangerous diplomatic mission in the Western Pennsylvania wilderness. A 21-year old major in the Virginia militia named Washington had two brushes with death in this Pittsburgh area, which could have dramatically altered the course of American history.

At one point, Washington and his traveling companion, Christopher Gist tried to take a raft across the Allegheny River. Washington was controlling it with a pole and didn’t do a very good job because he ended up being thrown into the river. And with all the wet wool clothes that they used to wear; it was very fortunate that he was able to be saved by Gist.

Think how different our world might be without Washington. He was the catalyst of the Revolution, he was the leader of the Constitutional Convention, he held everything together throughout the Revolution and afterwards, when our government was formed. And I truly believe, had Washington been killed, that our nation’s history would be quite different and the history of the world, the modern world as we know it, would be quite different.” [Martin J. O'Brien at the Harmony Museum]

Personally, I do not believe the Presidential election is over. I respect each person’s conviction of which candidate should lead our nation. I voted for the party platform that has the best chance of advocating religious freedom, the right to life, and democracy. I believe the name of the man who saved Washington from drowning in the river is significant at this time. “Gist” means the main or essential part of a matter and the ground of a legal action. As you look at the two paintings of Washington and Gist crossing the river you will notice how rickety the raft must have been. Just a few rough logs lashed together, not a boat, just a shaky raft! It would have taken a miracle for Gist to pull a soaked George Washington up onto the raft! The raft would have surely dipped down under the water considering the weight of two men. This rescue of Washington happened during a Pennsylvania winter, December 27, 1753. Interesting that “gist” means the ground of a legal action and that is what is happening currently in the election and that we are less than two weeks from December.

Last night’s national prayer service in Pennsylvania led by Dutch Sheets was the “Gist” who reached out with an appeal to Heaven to rescue the democratic election. Democracy is at stake. I participated in this prayer service online. Gist keeps my hope alive that the election is not said and done. Gist keeps reaching out to save our individual rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Gist refuses to let our democratic way of life die a slow death. Gist will not allow our freedom of worship to drown. Who is the true hero in the historical near-death of George Washington, the Father of our country? It is a man named Gist. Who is the true hero in this period of our national history? It is the national prayer service held last night near the headwaters of the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania.

13th Day of Elul: The King is in the Field

Elul, 13th Day. Elul, The King is in the Field.

"The King’s place is in the royal palace. To speak with the King, an individual must go through bureaucratic channels, gain approvals, journey to the capital, pass through the castle, and be entirely prepared. But there are times when the King comes out to the fields. Anyone can approach to be received with care and compassion." Alden Solovy

Elul 12th Day: Humble Compassion

Elul 12th day. Another look at compassion. A deeper level is humble compassion.
"Compassion that humbles
is born of a deeper understanding of the order of things:
When you understand that the other guy is lacking
in order that you may be privileged to help him
—then you are truly humbled." chabad.org

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ... Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

11th Day of Elul: Compassion

Elul, 11th day, 31 August 2020. Can we learn to be more compassionate and caring? "The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion." Psalm 103:13

10th Day of Elul: Givers & Takers

On this 10th day of the Hebrew month of Elul, the emphasis of giving and receiving is key in our relationships with those who are weak.
The Passion Translation of Acts 20:35 teaches us how to serve and take care of the weak. "I’ve left you an example of how you should serve and take care of those who are weak. For we must always cherish the words of our Lord Jesus, who taught, ‘Giving brings a far greater blessing than receiving.’”
Givers & Takers
"Our view of the world and its Creator’s view are very different. From our perspective, there is always a giver and a taker. Whether the merchandise be knowledge, affection, or money—somebody always comes out on top and the other on the bottom. In the Creator’s view, giver and taker are one. The taker is really giving and the giver, receiving. For without the opportunity to give, the giver would be forever imprisoned within his own self." (Daily Thought from Chabad.org)

9th Day of Elul: Kindness Needs to Grow

Shabbat, August 29th, 9 Elul. Today is Sabbath for Jews and as this Hebrew month progresses kindness needs to expand in the world.
"A seed ignites the power of the earth, but a gift of kindness seeds the very ground of the cosmos—for out of Divine Kindness the universe emerged, of Kindness it is built, and with Kindness it is sustained and nourished." Igeret HaKodesh 8
Loving-kindness is the goodness of God. Psalm 27:13

Elul 8th Day: Kindness

8th day of Elul and kindness is our focus today. As Psalm 27 is read twice during the day we see how the kindness of God is loving-kindness in verse 13. "I would have been without hope if I had not believed that I would see the loving-kindness of the Lord in the land of the living."
"Plant Kindness. A gift is a gift, but a gift to one in need is an investment, a seed planted in the ground. Invest kindness in those who are in need. The fruits of your investment will be beyond wonder."
Igeret HaKodesh 8

Joseph and Food Storage

There is a renewed interest in food storage for emergency situations that may arise due to COVID-19 and other natural disasters. Is food storage a lack of faith or can it be an action guided by God? There are several stories in the Bible in which God directed food storage. Yesterday we looked at Noah and how he was told to store food for his family and the animals. They were on the ark for 377 days so that was a lot of food that had to be stored.

Today we look at the story of Joseph and how he interpreted two prophetic dreams given by God to Pharaoh. This story is found in Genesis 41. Pharaoh dreamed about seven fat cows and seven severely thin cows. The thin cows ate the fat cows. He also dreamed about seven heads of grain, healthy and good, growing on a single stalk. After them, seven other heads of grain sprouted--thin and scorched by the east wind. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. No one could interpret the dream but word reached Pharaoh that a young Hebrew man in an Egyptian prison was an interpreter of dreams. Pharaoh called for him and Joseph was brought before him. In Genesis 41:25-31 "Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, "The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. "It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe.

Joseph then told Pharaoh that the grain harvest for the next seven years must be stored.
"Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine."

Egypt experienced seven years of plenty and grain was stored in the cities as Joseph had instructed. Following the years of plenty, Egypt suffered a severe famine for seven years. The Egyptians were able to buy grain throughout the years of famine because of the wise planning of Joseph. In this tremendous example of prophetic dreams, interpretation, and obedience the principle of food storage saved a nation.

Elul 7th Day: Joy

The 7th day of Elul's focus is on experiencing "joy". There is such a shortage of joy in our world and for many in our lives. Once again we look at Psalm 27 our key Scripture for the month of Elul. Psalm 27:6 "In His house, I am overcome with joy as I sing, yes, and play music for the Eternal alone."
"I ask myself: Do I sometimes have trouble feeling joy? And when I do, does it impede my ability to feel free to work on my problems? In this month of Elul, I will work on feeling more joy—in the little things of life, and in the big things, and in so doing may some of the challenges of my life feel less formidable."

Noah and Food Storage

I have been thinking seriously about the last days and the return of Christ. Jesus said, "For it will be exactly like it was in the days of Noah when the Son of Man appears." Matthew 24:37 Peter wrote that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. It took Noah 100 years to build the ark so he must have preached (prophesied) during that period of time. As Noah completed the building of the ark God gave him instructions. One of these had to do with the storing of food. Genesis 6:21 "Bring every kind of food that may be eaten, and store it all inside the ark. That way, you and all of the creatures will have enough food to eat." Noah, Noah's family, and all the animals were in the ark for 377 days (a little longer than a year). God instructed Noah to "store" enough food to eat during a year of complete isolation. There was a year's supply of food stored in the Ark.
Tomorrow I will look at Joseph and seven years of food storage following the prophetic dream God gave to Pharaoh.

Elul Day 6: His Banner Over Me is Love

Some people and groups are very difficult to love. As we go through Day 6 of Elul opportunities will present themselves to extend the love of the Beloved to the unlovely. "I am my Beloved's and he is mine. His banner over me is love." This love banner identifies us as disciples of love.
"Reb Nachman of Bratslav counseled: 'Seek the good in everyone; reveal it, bring it forth.' When I look into the face of another, do I first look with critique or love? In the year that is waning, have I truly sought the good in all? In the year that is soon to be born, how can I gaze through a more gentle-spirited lens?" by Rabbi Leila Gal Berner
Jeremiah speaking for God said, "I’ve loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I’ve drawn you with gracious love." God's love is gracious love and only through gracious love are we enabled to extend grace to those who are difficult to love.

Fifth Day of Elul: Behold What Manner of Love

On this 5th day of the Hebraic month of Elul, the love of God is spotlighted. The Song of Solomon's theme of the Beloved's love is seen clearly. Song of Solomon 6:3 “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine...”
This love is seen clearly in the New Testament as in 1 John 3:1 "What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it—we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are." During these days of Elul remember that the love of God is deeper than we will ever understand.

Elul 4, 2020 I Am My Beloved's

4th Day of Elul and the emphasis is centered on being loved by the beloved. Song of Solomon 6:3 “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who pastures his flock among the lilies.
Daily Thought by Chabad.org
"No matter how distant the soul may travel, in the end, she can never tear herself away.
For the soul and her Beloved are one."
"Elul
Late summer month
Leading into the holiest of days.
Time of reflection
Time of return
Time of repentance.
An invitation to open your heart
And feel into your own depths
Searching for sweetness
Searching for tenderness.
Searching for reunion
With your Glorious Creator
Who loves your very being.
Open and be." by Rabbi Patti Haskell

Elul: The Third Day "Sabbath"

The third day of Elul is a Sabbath day for believers in Jesus. Yesterday was the sabbath, or Shabbat, for the Jewish people. Sabbaths are key days during this month. We seriously need to embrace and experience true Shabbat in our routine.
"A dictionary definition of overwork: “Overwork is the expression used to define the cause of working too hard, too much, or too long. It can be also related to the act of working beyond one's strength or capacity, causing physical and/or mental distress in the process.” There is a simple, exquisite antidote for overwork: Shabbat! As I move toward a New Year, I will resolve to rest more into the embrace of Shabbat and to share it with my community – friends, family, and synagogue." Rabbi Leila Gal Berner
On this Sabbath (Shabbat) this reading from Psalms 92 shows us how to give thanks and enter into rest from the tendency to overwork. Psalm 92:1-2 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night."

Second Day of Elul: Light & Shelter

On this second day of Elul we remember how God has and continues, to protect us during this crisis time. One of the special Scriptures recited daily during this month is Psalm 27, "The Lord is my light and my salvation."
"Think of the effort you put out this year, the obstacles that you encountered, and how you dealt with them. This includes how you took responsibility, how you persevered even when it was hard, and how you dealt with resistance or self-doubt. Recognize your strength and courage and the affirmations you received for acting in strong ways. Who helped you with this?" by Tamar Frankiel
We know it has been the Lord who has helped us! Here is another key Scripture read during Elul, "I put my words in your mouth and sheltered you in the palm of my hand." Isaiah 51:16 We are sheltered safe within the hands of God.

First Day of Elul: Soul-Searching

Today is the first of the two days of Rosh Chodesh (“Head of the Month”) for the month of Elul. It is customary to practice sounding the shofar (ram's horn) on the 1st day, introducing the Elul atmosphere of soul-searching and repentance. As the last month of the year, Elul is a time for review and stocktaking for the closing year, as well as a time of preparation for the coming year. It is a time to audit one's spiritual accounts; a time to prepare for the "Days of Awe" which will be observed in the next Hebraic month of Tishrei.
Psalm 27 is recited at the end of the morning and afternoon prayers. Psalm 27:4 "One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I will look for: that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to look upon the beauty of the Lord, and to worship in His holy house."
To receive all that the Lord has in store for us during Elul let us examine our own heart today. May we hear the clear sound of the trumpet giving warning of difficult times ahead. Ask God to lead us on the road to eternal life.

Elul "The King is in the Field"

One of my favorite months in the Hebrew calendar is Elul. Elul begins today at sunset. I shared this Elul message several years ago and wanted to make it available again. I feel it is more relevant at this present time. It is 9 minutes in length.

What Happened on the Last Day of Av?

Today is the last day of the Hebraic month of Av. Did you know that on the last day of Av Moses received the 10 Commandments the second time?
On the last day of Av, Moses carved, by God's command, two stone tablets to replace the two divinely-made tablets, on which God had inscribed the Ten Commandments, which Moses had smashed 42 days earlier upon witnessing Israel's worship of the Golden Calf.
The prophet Jeremiah then prophesied this awesome revelation to Israel and to believers in Jesus, "I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." Jeremiah 31:33

Prophets Hear Before God Moves

A few days ago I posted some thoughts I had about two prophecies. One was a prophetic dream and the other was a prophetic vision. We are living in a time in history when God is revealing coming events through words of prophecy. These events are being "revealed" by the Lord.
Amos 3:7 “But always, first of all, I warn you through my prophets. This I now have done.”
Ancient prophecies in the Bible are now happening almost daily and it is plain to see that everything which can be shaken is being shaken (Hebrews 12:27). Signs of the return of Christ are all around us. Prophecy is being fulfilled.
Stay open to the leading of the Lord and don't let your heart be troubled. "God will take care of you, through every day, o'er all the way."

Despise Not Prophecy

I feel that I have a word to the wise. It has to do with the next four months and coming events. We desperately need direction from the Lord to navigate the uncertain road ahead. Recently two ministers have received prophetic messages from God which I have listened to and also read in detail. I am not a gullible person who believes everything I hear just because someone says, "the Lord told me..." I have always followed this Scriptural admonition from 1 Thessalonians. 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 "Don’t treat prophecy like something that is not important. But test everything. Keep what is good." This is what I used when I listened to these two prophecies. One was a prophetic dream and the other was a prophetic vision.

I believe the next four months are going to be very difficult. It is possible another disease stronger than COVID-19 will occur and much more serious riots may grow. Now is our lead time to prepare for necessities and household supplies in case we cannot leave home. Don't be caught short and unprepared.

Expect divine intervention from the Lord. Trust God to meet your needs. Live each day as a person of faith and do not let fear control your emotions. Learn to listen to the voice of the Great Shepherd and he will lead you in the way you ought to go.

What is Going to Happen Beginning May 29th?

Many of us believed that Passover in April was, in reality, a true Passover because of the Coronavirus pandemic. On the original night of Passover, the Hebrew people applied the blood of a lamb on the doorposts of their shelters. They were sheltered-in-place as the plague of death moved through Egypt. The plague did not harm the Hebrew people but actually passed over their houses. During this Coronavirus pandemic, our faith in the blood of Jesus has been our covering as death continues to pass through the Earth.

Could it be that in 36 more days we will experience a literal Pentecost such as the world has
not witnessed since the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago? That outpouring that occurred during the Jewish festival of Pentecost ushered in a great harvest of souls. It is my heartfelt belief that this Pentecost, which begins on the evening of May 29th, will be signified by a great ingathering of people turning to God and many supernatural signs throughout the Earth! A true Passover and a true Pentecost.

Prophecy for Holy Week/Passover from DeVonne Simmons Reed

I believe that this message from my friend, DeVonne Bonnie Simmons Reed, is especially timely during Holy Week and the beginning of Passover. It is a vision and prophecy she received from the Lord five years ago on April 6, 2015.

May we not only hear what the Spirit is saying but also heed it.

SIGNIFICANCE OF PASSOVER & THE CORONAVIRUS

"The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. So there will be no plague among you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:13 The Jewish holiday Passover begins this Wednesday at sunset. The first Passover occurred the night the death angel passed through the land of Egypt where the Hebrew people were slaves. God instructed the head of each household among them to take the blood of a lamb and apply it to the doorposts and lintel of every Hebrew home. When the death angel passed over Egypt every home where the blood had been applied was spared. No death came near their dwelling.
Psalm 91:9-10 "For you have made the Lord, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your dwelling."
Jesus became our Passover lamb and his blood applied by faith to our lives covers and protects us from evil and plague. During the eight days of Passover 2020 find a time to receive the Lord's Supper and/or a Seder meal to remember and commemorate the sacrificial lamb slain and his precious blood. There is power in the blood and it will never lose its power to save and protect. The coronavirus is no match for His blood.

No Need to Fear

There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. Isaiah 41:10 MSG

You will have nothing to fear at night and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day.
You will have no fear of diseases that come in the dark or terrible suffering that comes at noon. Psalm 91:5-6 ERV

During the past six weeks I have had two opportunities to be afraid and fear the circumstances I found myself in. Facing open heart surgery challenged my faith and I was tempted to be afraid. I admit that I had some anxiety the night before but I can honestly say that I was never afraid. I trusted in the Lord to be with me and to bring me through whatever I had to face. When the coronavirus pandemic began to grow I had the opportunity to be fearful of what could happen. I was seventy years old and had an underlying medical condition. This placed me in the high-risk category. In the natural, I should have been fearful. Once again I have put my trust in God's Word, "There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.

The entire world has been rocked by the pandemic and it is safe to say that the majority of humans are living in fear. The disease has produced fear and all nations are suffering from economic anxiety. Fear is running rampant.

Make the decision to trust in God and the Word. Choose to live in faith and not fear. Daily believe that the Lord will help you and strengthen you.

The old gospel hymn, God Will Take Care of You, is very relevant for our day.

Be not dismayed whate'er betide
God will take care of you
Beneath His wings of love abide
God will take care of you

God will take care of you
Through every day, o'er all the way
He will take care of you
God will take care of you

No matter what may be the test
God will take care of you
Lean, weary one, upon His breast
God will take care of you

God will take care of you                                                                                                    Through every day, o'er all the way
He will take care of you
God will take care of you

See Each Other During the Pandemic

Danny Cohn, CEO of the Birmingham Jewish Federation shared an interesting insight from a Midrash on Exodus 14. (A Midrash is an ancient commentary on part of the Hebrew scriptures, attached to the biblical text.) This is the Scripture of the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea. I believe this Midrash can add meaning to what we are experiencing at this time with the unknown of the coronavirus pandemic.
"The Midrash was on how the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea via twelve different paths separated by towers of water. Although each tribe had its own private path, each tribe could see with perfect clarity every other tribe during the passage. The Midrash recounts how the experience was frightening and being able to see each other comforted the tribes. As we are all taking our own paths during this time, let’s remember to “see” each other as much as we can to bring comfort to ourselves."
Your path may be rather smooth during this challenging era in history. Others feel that they are going under and about to drown. May we not be so preoccupied with our own lives that we forget to see others less fortunate. We are blessed to be a blessing.

Cardiologist Says That I Have a New Heart

5-week heart surgeon check-up today and happy to report that he has released me from his care. I am now permitted to live a more regular lifestyle.

Cardiologist check-up on Monday also went well and he is very pleased with my successful recovery. He said that I have a new heart.

I sincerely appreciate everyone's prayers and encouraging messages over the last five weeks. God has been very gracious!

God Will Cover and Protect You

This is God's Word and you can trust His Word. The integrity of God's Word will never fail. During this time of uncertainty, you can know that His Word remains certain.

Christ Within Me by Saint Patrick

And the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Here is the key to being at rest in our spirits during this coronavirus pandemic. Christ in us is greater than disease or any plague. As Saint Patrick wrote, Christ within me is our solace and our remedy during times of distress and fear.

Never forget these words from Exodus 15:26, "For I am the LORD who heals you."

Listen to this healing song I Am the God Who Healeth Thee written and sung by Don Moen. As you listen let the LORD heal your spirit, emotions, and body.

New Heart and Vision

A month ago I had successful open heart surgery. Three years before I began to experience extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, and lack of focus. My primary care physician detected a heart murmur during a regular check up. She sent me to a cardiologist for testing. Following testing I was diagnosed with a hereditary heart disease called Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy. The left side of my heart had grown larger than the right and a portion had hardened restricting a major artery. The cardiologist told me that there was nothing that could be done except treat with medicine and soon I would have cardiac arrest and die.

I did improve with the medication but still had symptoms which limited me physically. I decided to seek another cardiologist who was recommended. He sent me for further testing and referred me to another cardiologist who informed me that surgery could improve my condition. The surgery would remove the hardened section of heart muscle and two bypasses would also be done. This diagnosis gave me much hope. I agreed to have the surgery a week later.

The night before the surgery I had a Scripture verse come into my mind. It was, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Literally I believe God has given me a new heart, both physically and spiritually. Physically I feel very good and spiritually a new outlook is coming into focus. Although I have ministered as an evangelist for almost fifty years I am sensing a shift in this calling. This shift seems to be from a church-type evangelist to a call to leaders in America and Israel. How this will develop or be walked-out remains to be seen. I only know that I have a new heart and new vision.
